Construction Skills Level 1 City and Guilds at Westminster Kingsway College
What will I study?
You will learn about Construction, including carpentry, painting and decorating, bricklaying, electrics and plumbing. You will have access to a specialist construction workshop and can benefit from employer links to the King’s Cross Construction Centre, Carillion and BAM.
You will study the Level 1 Award/Certificate/Diploma in Basic Construction Skills. During this Pre-Apprenticeship course, you will also study Functional Skills in Maths and English and have the opportunity to work towards a CSCS card.
You do not need to have any previous qualifications. However, you will be required to attend an interview and complete computer-based initial assessment prior to enrolment and achieve a minimum of Entry Level 3 Literacy and Numeracy.
You could progress to a higher level course, an Apprenticeship or Traineeship
