Clinical Healthcare Support - Level 3 Diploma at Chichester College

Course description

The Diploma in Clinical Healthcare Support offers the opportunity for those working or volunteering in the health sector to gain a nationally recognised qualification demonstrating their knowledge and competence. Learners will work towards a Diploma in Clinical Healthcare Support (Level 3). Learners could be working in a variety of health care settings such as GP practice, General hospital setting, Rehabilitation unit or supporting Allied Health Professionals.

Course content

Diploma in Clinical Healthcare Support comprising of mandatory units for the qualification and optional units covering the relevant clinical area.

One to one with an assessor who will visit you regularly in your clinical setting. Resources and course materials will be provided where appropriate.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry qualifications but learners need to be working in an appropriate healthcare setting. A literacy assessment, skills scan and interview is required prior to acceptance on the programme.


Competence is demonstrated through the completion of a portfolio of evidence using written and oral evidence, observation in the workplace, recognition of prior learning & work products.
