Diploma In Introduction To Health, Social Care & Children's Settings Course Level 1 at Stephenson College

Course description

This qualification will provide you with a good insight into a career in health and/or social care with adults or children and young people.

Course content

You will cover a range of subject areas that include; communication, health and safety,human growth and development. You will also learn functional skills which are English and Maths as required. You will learn by using a range of methods, practical activities, visits to health, social care and children's settings.

Entry requirements

A minimum of two GCSEs, one of which should be a Grade D or higher in English or Maths. You will also need a good school report.

Assessment

By written assignments and case studies.

Future opportunities

On completion of this course you could progress on to:

  • Level 2 Certificate in Children's Workforce Development
