Product Design - A Level at Swanshurst School

Course description

Are you imaginative, creative and innovative? Do you enjoy making things and solving problems? If so, Product Design is the subject for you! This course will appeal to students who have studied Design and Technology or Art at GCSE level. Students are given the opportunity to work in a range of contexts related to their personal interests as well as designing and making products for a variety of needs. You will be assessed over a variety of methods, examination paper, Design and Make Task and a single substantial Major Project. The students will also visit the Design Museum London, Clothes Show Live, Cardiff Innovation Awards and BCU Summer Shows.

Entry requirements

Progression onto A Level Product Design will require at least 5 GCSEs, or equivalent, at grade C or above Exam Board: www.wjec.co.uk
