Hospitality and Catering BTEC at The Academy of St Francis of Assisi

Course description

Hospitality is a fast paced, vibrant and exciting industry to work
in and one that offers opportunities to work all over the world.
The Hospitality BTEC Level 3 qualification provides comprehensive knowledge
and understanding of the hospitality and catering industry, preparing students
with the knowledge and skills to progress to supervisory level roles.

Entry requirements

As well as an interest in the Hospitality industry, you will need a minimum of 5
GCSEs grades A* - C including English and Maths (or equivalent). There is a lot of
research and written work in Hospitality; students are expected to write reports,
menus and evaluations. There are also some elements of Maths involved as you
will be writing and costing recipes.
