Course description
A-level Accounting helps students to develop knowledge and understanding of the purposes of Accounting and apply this to a variety of accounting problems.
Entry requirements
Minimum of four Cs and two Bs at GCSE which must include Maths grade B and English grade C.
Future opportunities
Accounting students have some of the best opportunities for a highly rewarding career. Entry to university in the area of Accounting and Finance, followed by a professional qualification as an Accountant, will be the aim of the most promising students, but prospects for all successful Accounting students are extremely good. Alternative and increasingly developing routes to a career in Accounting and Finance are work based training schemes and direct employment opportunities in various organisations. Our students benefit from excellent links with major employers and have gained employment and training directly from College at global organisations such as Deloittes and Ernst and Young.
