Graphics - BTEC Diploma at Grange Technology College
This is the ideal course to follow L2 Graphics or GCSE Art and Design. It is a creative vocational course aimed at students who want a career in Design or who want to continue their graphics development at a Higher Level. Budding web designers, product packaging designers, graphic designers and illustrations are all ideal students for this course.

The Edexcel Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Graphics is a 360- hour qualification comprisingsix units of 60 hours each.
To achieve the whole qualification, a learner must successfully completesix specialist units which will be based on the use of Graphics in the Design Industry.
You will develop graphic design skills while learning about the impact of graphic design on people and society. You will also analyse the use of graphic design in advertising and on the web.
Entry requirements are C grade at GCSE Art and Design / Product Design or Merit or above in L2 BTEC Graphics.
This course is 100% coursework assessed through each unit of work, you can achieve a pass, merit or distinction.
Students taking this course at L3 are probably interested in a career in Design. You can apply to university to applied design courses such as Graphics, take a Pre-BA Foundation Course at Bradford or Leeds College or apply for employment in a related or an unrelated area. All Design courses at HE level will require a portfolio and a good pass in at least 2 A Level or equivalent courses, and are strongly advised to take A levels as well as a BTEC course.
