Course description

You will be studying  a range of modules from anatomy and physiology through to contemporary issues in sport. This broad base of modules allows the student to explore the vast array of potential career opportuntities in the sporting sector and how they interact with each other. The course is a significant change to GCSE study with theoretical knowledge paramount in the structure of the course.

These new and exciting theoretical aspects are studied and learnt in a practical manner, which include designing and partaking in your own training regime through to looking and making the main parts of a nutritionally balanced meal.

Students will have gained a 90 credit Diploma qualification after the success and completion of Year 1 allowing them to progress on to Year 2.

It is important to note that the course is assessed through continuous on-going assessment, from reports through to presentations, so it is vital that you are able to manage and keep to deadlines.
