What will I study on this course?
At AS Level you will investigate the media in order to reach an understanding and basis evaluation of how meanings and responses are created. They will also be expected to contribute to media production. At A2 Level you are encouraged to examine the media on a less formulaic way to demonstrate the role played by the media in today’s society as well as debate major contemporary media issues. Candidates also need to investigate a media theme and realise a production piece linked to this research.
What do I need?
To access this course successfully you will need 5 Grade A to C at GCSE, in particular in English Language.
What does it prepare me for?
Careers in journalism, marketing, advertising or public relations. It can also support careers such as social work, law, medicine and education.
