Single Award Unit A911 - Coursework Health and Social Care Early years Provision. Unit A912- Exam - 1 hour. Understanding Personal Development. Double Award Completion of the two units above and Unit A913 - Coursework Promoting Health and Social Care

Course content

This qualification has been specifically designed by OCR in partnership with the University of Cambridge for students aged 16 and above.

Students have to complete 6 Units:

In the first year 30 credits will be completed; 10 credits per unit leading to a Certificate in Health and Social Care. In the second year 30 more credits will be added leading to the Introductory Diploma.

Entry requirements

A minimum of 5 GCSE's A*-C

Assessment

This course s assessed by individul portfolio work with information collected from several sources. Some observations are carried out in school when undertaking practical tasks. Work experience is desirable but not mandatory

Future opportunities

This qualification is suitable for leaners studying in prparation for employment in health and social care. It is recognised by Colleges and Universities to undertake further study.
