Business BTEC Subsidiary/ Extended Diploma Level 3 at City College Brighton and Hove

Course description

Business is all around us - from your local corner shop to big multinational organisations like Google and Apple. It is highly likely that when you start work you will be working in a business of some sort. So, whatever career you go into, having a good grounding in business will be a major asset to you.

Our business courses are taught by tutors with direct industry experience and they will provide you with an insight into what’s involved in running a business, how they are organised and financed and the importance of effective communication and marketing.

Our Business department is one of the College’s most dynamic, providing trips, placements and hands-on practical experience.

In previous years for example, our students travelled to EuroDisney for a conference and workshop, meeting Disney Senior Executives and seeing how the top rides in Europe are marketed.

You will have the opportunity to experience professional networking, job-shadow business employees and work with the latest business technology, to help build your confidence and open the door to a wealth of business opportunities.

The College also has an established Enterprise Society and an ‘Entrepreneur in Residence’ - a top local businessperson - who is available to work with students to provide support and help them develop their own ideas.
