Information technology is an important element in any business, with organisations continuing to reply on software packages for all their administration tasks. Poultec’s team of IT tutors are on hand to deliver courses on many of the current software packages. Courses can be delivered in one of our two computer suites at South Green Park or on-site using our IT training vehicle, which contains ten workstations and its own satellite broadband connection.

Poultec provide a range of courses covering the Microsoft Office packages, as well as more bespoke courses tailored to your own business needs.

City & Guilds Start IT course (Beginners)

The Award for IT Users is ideal for anyone new to the world of computing. This is a first step in understanding IT and can help you progress to further qualifications. You will learn how to use and format Word Processing documents, build internet and email skills and organise you work on your computer.

City & Guilds Certificate for IT Users (ITQ) at Level 1 (Foundation), Level 2 (Intermediate) and Level 3 (Advanced)

The City & Guilds ITQ Certificate is suitable for anybody who uses ICT whether at home or work. Designed to provide competence and progression from beginners to advanced skills, the flexible structure of the ITQ means that it can be adapted for a variety of software applications for almost any job role, to prepare you for an intended career and to improve your personal computing.

Word Processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, Desktop Publishing and Information Management units are included in the courses across 3 Levels:
Level 1 (Fundamental) Certificate
Level 2 (Intermediate) Certificate
Level 3 (Advanced) Certificate
