Construction - Plastering Apprenticeship Level 3 (CON1) at Barnsley College

Course description

This apprenticeship will equip you with the skills and knowledge to work in the plastering sector.

Course content

You will study units from the list below which relate to your job role. You will also study:

•Employment, Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) booklet

•Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths

•Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)

Units

•Analysing technical information, quantities and communication with others

•Analysing the construction industry and built environment

•Apply plaster materials to produce complex internal surfaces

•Apply render to produce complex external surfaces

•Health, safety and welfare in construction and associated industries

•Prepare and run in-situ moulds

Entry requirements

Successful completion of  Level 2 Apprenticeship in Plastering

plus Employed or written offer of employment in construction

plus Successful construction skills assessment

 

 

 

Assessment

You will be assessed by your assessor using a portfolio of evidence, practical demonstrations and assignments. You will be assessed both in college and in your place of work.
