Business Level 3 Extended Diploma at New College Durham
The BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma aims to enable you to study the concept of Business from a vocational and professional viewpoint. This study programme is designed to provide a springboard to Higher Education, such as a Foundation Degree, Bachelor's Degree or into employment and is broadly equivalent to three A Levels.
To achieve the Extended Diploma you must successfully complete 180 Credits; consisting of core and optional units. Each unit is worth 10 credits (unless otherwise specified)

Mathematics and English
Two additional qualifications may be studied over the two year programme to give students further skills in Mathematics and English.
Additional qualifications will be included within the learning programme to provide students with a broad range of skills. A range of assessment methods are used including assignments, time-constrained assignments, case studies and observation of performance.
Places on the Level 3 Extended Diploma are subject to minimum grade requirements (7 GCSE's at A*-C including English and Maths) as well as BKSB assessments in English and Maths and free writing exercise, to be held during the induction period.
Students successfully completing the diploma/extended diploma are able to apply for the Foundation Degree in Business at New College Durham, or apply for similar Higher Eduction courses in the field of Business and Management.Related careers
