Applied ICT A Level at Riverside College Halton
This course will enable you to become a competent ICT user, providing you with the skills and knowledge to capture and handle data, carry out investigations, solve problems and present and communicate information. You will learn about software development, ICT systems and new technologies.
A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above are required (preferably including ICT) to study a full A Level programme.
Successful completion of evidence within a portfolio and success in examined units.
You could progress to a Foundation Degree in ICT and E Commerce or a BA Hons degree such as Computing or Information Systems. You could also choose work-based training such as IT User/Practitioner NVQs or industry specific qualifications such as MCSE or Cisco. Following this you could enter employment within the IT industry as a support technican, systems analyst or IT Manager.
You will need a removable storage media device.
