Course description

Sport & Fitness is a huge industry - and you can be part of it. If you’re keen on sport you can make a healthy living from your passion. Every year more and more people take up sport and given that the UK hosted the Olympic Games in 2012, Physical Education has never played such an important part in society. You will learn about anatomy and physiology, how people acquire sports skills and the issues behind sport e.g. equality of opportunity, drugs in sport and the 2012 Olympics. You will also learn how to analyse and evaluate sporting performance.

Entry requirements

Preferred minimum grade: Grade C at GCSE PE Level (though some people are accepted on the AS PE course even if they have not followed the GCSE subject)

Recommended attributes: - have a keen interest in sport - be involved in sport outside of school
