English Language and Literature at St Aidan's and St John Fisher's Associated Sixth Form

Course description

The study of A Level English Language & Literature encourages students to develop their interest in both language and literature as interconnecting and mutually supportive disciplines. Students explore the relationship of language and literature through critical reading of and response to both literary and non-literary texts, as well as writing for a variety of audiences and purposes.

Entry requirements

Grade B or above in both GCSE English and English Literature or Media Studies at GCSE. Wider reading and research are essential for this course.
