Skills for Independence and Work - Entry 2 Diploma at Coleg y Cymoedd

Course description

This course provides opportunities to develop and enhance a range of life skills and techniques and personal skills, as well as developing Communication and Numeracy skills.

The course content supports interests in different areas which may enable progression to a vocational qualification. All subjects involve some basic Literacy and Numeracy

Course content

You will study a BTEC qualification in Independence and Work as well as qualifications in Essential SkilIs Wales Communications and Numeracy.

Entry requirements

You must be working at Entry Level 1 / 2 in Literacy and Numeracy. Working towards E2 qualifications.

You will be invited to attend an interview, and will undertake an assessment in literacy and numeracy, to establish any support required.

Assessment

You will be assessed in a variety of ways. Some subjects are assessed by collecting your work together into a portfolio. You will complete assignments for literacy and numeracy .

Future opportunities

On successful completion of this course you may have the opportunity to progress onto higher level courses in a vocational area.
