Mathematics - GCSE at Whitefield School
Students who have not achieved a grade C in Mathematics also have the opportunity to resit the course. The course encourages students to develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to apply a range of mathematical concepts to situations which may arise in their own lives. The areas of mathematics taught to students are Number, Algebra, Geometry, Measures, Probability and Statistics. Students are externally assessed by terminal examination papers. The examination board for this course is Edexcel.
