Performing Arts BTEC Level 3 Diploma at Walton High
The Performing Arts BTEC has been specially selected to develop performers who can demonstrate a wide variety of skills across the three disciplines of music, dance and drama. The course gives performers the potential to go onto further education or is great preparation for moving into appropriate employment within the many performing arts industries. Students will study the mandatory units set out by the exam board, but also have the opportunity to focus on their individual strengths as performers.

6 A*-C GCSE/ Level 2 BTECS with preferred C grades or above in GCSE English Language and Maths. Strong dance, drama or vocal experience.
Assignments are set and marked by your teachers and externally verified by Pearson. You will complete a series of tasks set in an work related scenario linked to industry needs.
You will generate authentic evidence , drawing on your knowledge and skills to complete a practical project over a period of time, working either individually or in a team.

Level 3 BTECs are awarded either, Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction *
The Level 3 BTEC in Performing Arts has been developed to focus on providing opportunities for full-time learners to gain nationally recognised vocational specific qualifications to enter employment in the Performing Arts’ sectors or progress to higher education.
