Course description

The Level 1 Award in Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children’s & Young People’s Settings aims to develop learners’ knowledge and awareness of health, social care and children’s and young people’s settings.

 

Course content

It is aimed at learners in school or college who wish to develop an understanding of the similarities and differences between these settings.This is a practical work-related course which assesses students through written work such as projects and assignments. Alongside your study, our placement officers will find you 30 hours of work experience within the health and social care and childcare field.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification but learners must be at least 16 years of age.

This course creates a stepping stone to:

  • CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care
  • CACHE Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Adults)
  • CACHE Level 2 Certificate in an Introduction to Early Years Education

      Once you arrive at the College there is a free car park with over 250 spaces, 
      as well as designated areas for coaches and other large vehicles.

       

      Once on site you can have access to our catering facilities (subject to agreement) and a range of rooms, 
      from our Theatre, with 264 retractable seats, to a standard classroom.

      We also have full IT support, and can offer rooms with either Macs or PCs running the latest industry-standard software.
