Course description

At the heart of any business, accounting is perfect for students with a good head for numbers, a keen eye for detail and a knack for problem solving. If you consider yourself as a budding entrepreneur, a deal breaker or a philanthropist, then our bespoke courses in business are ideal to kick-start a career in forward-thinking industry.

You’ll study at the PQ Accountancy College of the Year; an industry-recognised award that acknowledges the outstanding provision taught on the course. You will gain valuable work experience in the College’s Accountancy Clinic that works with clients in the local area.

You’ll have opportunities to take part in competitions, for example Matchfit, Start-up Business and Rotherham Youth Enterprise Challenge. For those of you wanting to study a programme which prepares you for studying Higher Education, our humanities course is a great way to hone your knowledge and talents and realise your potential. With specialist areas such as English language and literature, sociology and psychology, many students progress onto Higher Education courses within the legal, teaching or social industries.

Course content

An introduction to the world of business could take you towards the role of a junior admin assistant or a business sales administrator. This introductory course will provide you with an insight into where your career may lead and the skills you will need to achieve your goals.
