Animal Care - BTEC Level 2 Diploma at City and Islington College

Course description

If you're aged between 16 and 18 and interested in a career working with animals, this course can open doors to further study or to a relevant apprenticeship.

Course content

You will study modules in Animal Biology, Animal Behaviour, Animal Health and Exotic Animals.

Entry requirements

You must have at least four GCSEs at grade D or above. The subjects must include Maths and English, with science GCSEs preferred.

Assessment

You will be assessed through coursework. Each unit will be continually assessed throughout the year using a variety of methods, including assignments, presentations, practical assessments oral assessments and in-class tests. There are no final exams.

Future opportunities

This course is designed to prepare learners for a Level 3 qualification. City and Islington College offers a BTEC Extended Diploma in Animal Management.
