Media Cambridge Technical Introductory Diploma at Lord Grey School

Course description

If you want to learn how to create a film, television programme or music video from beginning to end, then this is the course for you. Combined with research into production techniques and studies of media concepts; genre, narrative, industry and audience, students will gain a professional understanding of what it takes to succeed in the Media industry.

WARNING: It is a highly practical course and will require considerable time and effort outside of the classroom to complete the filming and editing of your work.

Course content

Units include: Analysing Media Products and Audiences, Scriptwriting for Media Products, Production Roles in Media Organisations and Production and Post-Production for Film.

Entry requirements

5 x A*-C GCSE (or equivalent) grades are expected.

Assessment

The course is 100% coursework. The six units are assessed and points calculated to give you a Distinction*, Distinction, Merit or Pass grade.
