BTEC Sport, Coaching and Fitness (Football Academy) Level 3 at The Helena Romanes School and Sixth Form Centre
At Helena Romanes we constantly strive to expand the Sixth Form provision. As such, we are introducing a new course to our Post 16 options. The Football Academy and Diploma in Sport, Coaching and Fitness will allow students to combine their passion for football with a relevant university recognised qualification.
Students will receive first class football coaching for up to 10 hours weekly and in addition will have the opportunity to play a competitive midweek Academy fixture. The students are able to be coached by Level 2, 3 and UEFA B licenced coaches and they include a coach and scout for the Tottenham Hotspur Academy.
In conjunction with the practical performance elements students will be given the chance to gain FA accredited coaching qualifications as well as potential opportunities to study or coach abroad during Higher Education.

In order to study BTEC Sport, you must have achieved 5 GCSEs A* - C. In addition you must have achieved a Distinction at BTEC Sport Level 2 or Grade C at GCSE, if studied at this level.
This course lends itself to learning in both practical and theory environments with the opportunity of gaining extra qualifications such as basic first aid and officiating. It will offer the opportunity to move into Higher Education and pursue a career in sport.
