IT Cambridge Technical Diploma at Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School

Course description

The course focuses on the design, implementation and management of an organisation’s IT Infrastructure. Plus, the activities and roles that are carried out in the workplace such as selecting hardware and software for clients, and learning how to build, upgrade or develop computer systems and networks that are safe and secure.

Course content

Students will study 10 hours per week, over 2 years and undertake the following units: Fundamentals of IT; Global Information; Cyber Security; Computer Networks; Project Management; Product Development; Mobile Technology; Developing a Smarter Planet; Computer Systems – Hardware; Computer Systems – Software IT Technical Support.


A combination of internally and externally assessed coursework units.
