Course description

It’s a very practical course and will equip you with the skills you need for a career in the hotel and catering industry. There’s plenty of actual cooking and food preparation involved but you’ll also learn about other aspects of the business including menu costing and the legal aspects of catering

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade E or above and practical cookery skills

Assessment

Portfolio development including practical cookery and food and beverage assessments. You will also complete a number of synoptic assessments.

Future opportunities

Level 2 VRQ Diploma in Professional Catering.
