Physics at Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form Free School
Physics is a fascinating theoretical subject about how the real world works. The study of A Level physics combines learning about scientific theories with extensive practicallaboratory work and the analysis of experimental data. In A Level physics you will study such topics as; mechanics, materials, waves, particles, quantum phenomena, electricity fields, nuclear physics and thermal physics. There is also likely to be an option to study one of the following areas; astrophysics, medical physics, applied physics and turning points in physics.
Our entry requirements are in-line with other local providers. To study with us you will need to have an average of at least 6 grade Bs at GCSE, (including grade B’s in any subjects that you wish to study at A level that you have already studied at GCSE.) We are aware that there may be special circumstances that mean that you won’t achieve this level of results. We do sometimes reduce this minimum standard under such conditions - please do get in touch.
