A Level Mathematics AS at Slough and Eton Church of England Business and Enterprise College

Course description

All Advanced GCE qualifications comprise 6 units and contain an advanced subsidiary GCE subset of three units. The AS is the first half of the GCE course and contributes 50% of the total marks. We are offering C1, C2 and M1 orS1 modules to students in the first year. This may lead to C3, C4 and S1 or M1 (mechanics) in the following year.

4. Differentiation.

(C2)

1. Algebra and functions.

5. Exponentials and logarithms.

6. Differentiation.

7. Integration

Successful study of AS Mathematics leads to study of A2 Mathematics in the second year.

Entry requirements

5 A* - C including English with Mathematics at grade B. Pupils who have had access to the vital A - A* materials arebest suited to this course as it is needed to successfully bridge the gap between GCSE and A Level Maths.
