Psychology AS level (Full Time) at Aylesbury College
You will learn various different perspectives in Psychology and will use research methods including inferential statistical tests, qualitative and quantitative methods.
You will learn about different perspectives in psychology, use research methods and analyse the results of both qualitative and quantitative methods. You will have the experience of designing your own studies, learning a number of core studies, and critically evaluating research.
Example modules Cognitive and Behavioural Psychology (Unit 1) Freud and the Biology of Psychology (Unit 1) 10 Core studies in Psychology and Relevant Methodology (Unit 2)
5 A*-C grade GCSEs, including Maths and English, with a B grade in the subjects related to this A Level.
The AS Level consists of 2 units, both of which will be examined and have integrated coursework.
Upon completion, you can continue the study of Psychology at A2 Level.
You will have a wide range of opportunities open to you in industries such as Education, Counselling and Medicine.
