Schools Provision 14-16, Bricklaying at Nova Training - Brownhills

Course description

Bricklaying courses are available to young people via our 14-16 schools programme.

Course content

As part of the course you will learn the basic elements of bricklaying that include; mixing mortar, building single brick walls in a variety of bonds, using blockwork, pointing skills and various decorative bonds.

You will be guided through your course by trade qualified tutors that also hold current teaching qualifications.

Our courses are accredited by City & Guilds and are offered at Entry Level 3 and Level 1.

Further information

Further progression may be onto a higher level qualification, Apprenticeship or employment.

    • Located just outside Brownhills High Street the centre is easily accessible via public transport.

      The centre has six bright air conditioned classrooms with ICT and plasma screens.

      In addition the centre has vocational workshops for plumbing, bricklaying, decorating and vehicle maintenance and repair.

      A mini bus service is available should learners wish to access vocational training at another centre.
