Accounting Apprenticeship Advanced Level at Guildford College

Course description

Running a business involves a lot of financial activities, from expenses and bills to taxes and payroll. Accountants keep track of all these things and more to make sure that businesses manage their money properly.

Depending on your company, you could be specialising in one area or doing all these tasks as well as handling banking and petty cash. 

Training is delivered in the workplace and an assessor will monitor your progress and conduct assessments in the workplace.

Course content

You’ll learn how to balance accounts, process invoices and payments, complete VAT returns, and help prepare financial statements and reports. 

Entry requirements

You must be working in a business administration role and be interested in developing your skills.

Alternatively, we have a number of vacancies each week and are able to help you find an employer.

 Advanced apprentices must have two to four GCSEs at grade A* - D, including Maths and English.

Assessment

A tutor will monitor your progress and conduct assessments in the workplace.

AAT qualifications, available at the College and pursue a career as an Accountant
