Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) - Apprenticeship at East Midlands Chamber (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire)

Course description

The Intermediate Apprenticeship is designed to equip you with the basic skills and knowledge required to carry out a range of engineering and manufacturing processes at semi-skilled or operator level. The Advanced Apprenticeship covers the operation of hand and machine tools to produce components in a mechanical engineering environment. You will learn how to use and interpret engineering data, how to operate CNC machines and how to produce mechanical drawings using Computer Aided Design (CAD).

Entry requirements

All potential Apprentices will benefit from average to good GCSE grades, D, C, B & A. Support is given to all future apprentices who have not got the required grades of maths and English for the framework. The functional skills delivery is both group delivery and one to one depending on the level of support required. The technical elements of this qualification will require the apprentice to have a good educational background with good grades in GSCE.
