This wide ranging course introduces you to the creative and powerful world of ICT. You will develop skills to provide careers into gaming, web development and programming pathways. The course emphasis embraces the development and enhancement oif all software development skills for use in this exciting subject - a subject that impacts upon all industries worldwide.
You will learn more about how ICT is used in the real world and improve your practical skills. To achive this qualification, students need to study a range of units including:

- Web development
- Principles of computer networks
- Server systems and routers
- Networking essentials
- Video games hardware
- Computer systems
- Installing and upgrading PC systems
- Maintaining an ICT system
You will also learn employability skills.
Intermediate Level 4 Ds/3s at GCSE
Foundation Level E/Fs or 1/2s at GCSE
Assessment will be through a combination assignments, practical activities to develop skills and portfolio building
All full time courses are free to 16-18 year olds who are 16-18 year olds who are EU Citizens.
The majority of our software students progress on to university to study software development degree subjects such as programming, computer gaming, website development, business information systems, digital media, graphics and computer forensics. You would also be ideally placed to go directly into employment in one of many related fields.
You will have a mentor who ensures that your training fits your requirements and offers the skills needed for the job.
