Engineering and Technology, Mechanical and Electronic Level 2 at East Kent College
Perfect if you want to study an engineering programme whichn provides multi-skilled industry standard training.
Our qualifications allow you to learn about electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering – all key growth areas in the UK. Engineers shape the world, from developing new mobile phone technology, to designing buildings and making components for aircraft, the career opportunities are endless. You’ll learn theory and practical skills, and all of our courses can lead to employment or higher education.
If it's a practical, real-world device that produces or uses electricity it was probably designed by an electrical engineer. With the digital age, there is a need for more advanced electrical technology, and our courses will let you focus on the design and development of electrical equipment.
Mechanical Engineers design and manufacture anything from small individual parts and devices, to large systems for machine tools and even spacecraft. Mechanical Engineering can lead into a wide range of jobs across many manufacturing industries. Our courses cover skills such as CAD (Computer Aided Design), milling, turning and fitting and assembly techniques.
You’ll learn mechanical and electronic engineering principles. Units will include engineering environment awareness, engineering techniques, engineering principles, turning and milling techniques, electronic systems and devices, and understanding computer-aided drawing (CAD).
Our fully fitted workshops are equipped with up to date technology replicating industry allowing us to provide hands on practical experience within the engineering sector; this combined with professional industry trained teaching staff ensures high success rates and multiple progression routes.
