Plastering Level 2 Diploma at Heart of Worcestershire College

Course description

Are you considering a career in construction? Do you want to improve your plastering skills and industry knowledge? Are you ready to make another step towards employment? This course gives you the opportunity to build upon your skillset and develop your knowledge in plastering. You will be given guidance on workplace communication, intermediate building methods and a variety of construction technologies, gaining hands-on workplace experience in our purpose built construction facility.

Entry requirements

To join this course you must have either: 
4 GCSEs A-D including Science with either maths, English language or Level 1 Functional Skills 
Appropriate Level 1 qualification in a related subject area 
Relevant industry experience 

Entry will be subject to a satisfactory reference.

Assessment

You will be assessed through a variety of methods including, written assessments, end tests, practical activities and practical examinations.

Future opportunities

Successful completion of this course will allow you to continue onto a Extended Diploma in Construction, Level 3. Alternatively you can progress into employment or work based training opportunities.

      Alliance House is the College’s centre for construction in Redditch. Subjects taught at Alliance House include bricklaying, carpentry and joinery, site carpentry, bench joinery, multi-trade construction operations, plastering, plumbing and painting and decorating. The building is equipped with purpose built working environments allowing you to develop real-life working skills to prepare you for life after college.

      Osprey House

      Located on Albert Street, Osprey House is the College’s central office. It is also home to the College’s higher education and professional courses. Our excellent range of higher education and professional courses provide you with the skills, knowledge and support to progress in your future career.
