Course content

Year 1

Core Mathematics 1: Includes Algebra, Sequences and Calculus 
Core Mathematics 2: Includes Algebra, Logarithms and Trigonometry. 
Applied Module in either Statistics, Decision or Mechanics:Academy and Cohort dependent.

Year 2

Core Mathematics 3: Includes Algebra, Calculus and Numerical Methods. 
Core Mathematics 4: Includes Calculus, Vectors and Parametric Functions. 
Applied Module in either Statistics, Decision or Mechanics:Academy and Cohort dependent.

B-A* in GCSE Mathematics

100% examination

Progression

You need to complete A Level Maths to do the following BSc degrees; mathematics; statistics; computer science; physics; accountancy and engineering. It is also considered a 'facilitating subject' for many other degrees.

Careers

Accountancy/finance; engineering; air traffic controller; architect and computer scientist.
