Geography is seen as a robust academic subject rich in skills, knowledge and understanding.  It provides a useful foundation for degree courses in Geography, Geology, Oceanography, Law and Sociology.  Since geographers work in such a wide range of sectors and roles it is true to say that there is no such thing as a Geography job, there are jobs that geographers do.  These include careers in Planning, Meteorology, Oceanography, Travel and Tourism, Environmental Management and Teaching.
