Entry requirements

Advanced courses usually require a grade C or above in the subjects you wish to study. (Mathematics and Modern Foreign Languages may require a grade B).

Assessment

AS Level: Module 1: Introduction to the Study of Literature Set text: Tess of the d.Urberiulles by Thomas Hurily Examination 1¼ hours to answer 1 question from a choice of 2. Open book examination. May be taken in January 2007 Module 2: Genre Study: Poetry and Drama Set text: John Donne’s poems (12 poems). Death of A Salesman by A. Miller Examination 1 x 1¾ hours to answer 1 question on each text. Closed book examination. May be taken in Summer 2007. Module 3: Introduction to the Study of Literature Set text: One Shakespeare play not already studied at KS3 or KS4 (Richard II) Coursework folder: containing 1,500-2,000 words submitted in Summer 2007. MODULES 1—3 = 15% COURSEWORK 85% EXAMINATION FOR AS LEVEL
