Creative Media Production BTEC Level 2 Diploma at Doncaster College
This is a one year course designed for learners of all abilities to flourish when applying their own knowledge, skills and enthusiasm for the media sector. You will study a wide variety of interactive media activities including, 2D animation, film production, advertising, and stop motion techniques and games.

Learners will additionally study an NCFE qualification in Art & Design, integrated into the core units of the programme and delivered through projects.
There are no specific entry requirements for this course, but students are expected to demonstrate their interests in media and art through the presentation of a portfolio of work. Prospective students may be set work in order to assess their suitability.
To begin on Level 2 applicants would be expected to have achieved 3 or 4 GCSE's at at least D grades and Level1 in their diagnostic testing.
Each project will involve a range of work including blogging, facebook, twitter and other social media, offering students the opportunity to utilise current industry standard skills and techniques.
The course is assessed continuously with critiques at the end of each project; regular tutorials with feedback will ensure that you are well supported in your study.
Students can progress to level 3 qualifications such as, Interactive Media, Games Development, Photography, Film and Television, and Graphics and Media courses.
Opportunities exist to enter the Creative Industries at a Junior Level but further study would be recommended to achieve employment in many job roles including product designer, artistic director, graphic designer, photographer and fashion technologist.
