Music at Ysgol Gyfun Dyffryn Teifi

Course description

The AS and A2 Music course provides opportunities for candidates to extend their understanding and knowledge of music in its variety, and its role in the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural experiences of people throughout the ages. These experiences will foster candidates’ sensitivity as listeners and performers, and allow their awareness of music’s cultural and spiritual context in all places, and in all ages, to be reflected in their own compositions and performances. Music, as a subject, is a medium to enjoy, to extend general musical knowledge, as well as nurturing the skills to study the subject further in College or University - with a future in teaching, a professional composer or even as a popstar!
