Biology AS & A Level at St Vincent College

Course description

This course is designed to inspire you and develop your enthusiasm for biology. You will learn the key concepts of biology that will enable you to understand the workings of plants, animals and the human body. You will gain insight into current issues in biology including stem cells, immunisation, heart disease, genetic manipulation and conservation. The course will also develop your understanding of how science works and enable you to evaluate claims made about science in the media.

  •  Control Genomes and Environment
  •  Practical assessment based on laboratory techniques

Entry requirements

Five GCSEs at grade A* – C, including Bs in Double Science or separate Sciences and preferably, B in Mathematics and C in English
