A2 Level History at Nether Stowe School

Course description

AQA History A level is a 2 year course which gives you the opportunity to develop research and communication skills through a study of the past.

Course content

The course will include the Making of Modern Britain 1951 - 2007, Tsarist and Communist Russia 1855 - 1964 and currently, a coursework element based around the Medieval Crusades.

Entry requirements

Grade 6 or above in GCSE History or a Grade 6 in English Literature and Language.


Two 2 hours and 30 minutes examinations plus a coursework element worth 20% of your final mark.
