Schools Provision 14-16, Carpentry at Nova Training - West Bromwich

Course description

Carpentry courses are available to young people via our 14-16 schools programme.

Course content

As part of the course you will learn the basic elements of carpentry that include; the different tools and materials available, fixing skirting boards and architrave, jointing techniques, door hanging procedures,  roof construction details and first and second fixing skills.

You will be guided through your course by trade qualified tutors that also hold current teaching qualifications.

Our courses are accredited by City & Guilds and are offered at Entry Level 3 and Level 1.

Further information

Further progression may be onto a higher level qualification, Apprenticeship or employment.

      The centre has a number of light and airy classrooms. Over 30 PC's for learner use, plasma screens and interactive clever touch screens to ensure lessons are exciting and engaging.

      A free mini bus service is available to transport learners to the Oldbury to access any vocational workshops required.
