Route 1 Engineering / IT Academic Pathway (Level 3) at The Leigh UTC

Course description

This route is studied over two years and is aimed at students who want to take A levels in maths, a science subject and possibly computing, as well as their BTEC specialsim of Engineering or Computer Science. It can lead to studying in higher education, for example, at a univesity, employment or a higher apprenticeship.



Course content

Full time, two year course. 

60% will be spent on technical specialisms. 

Industry partners and universities will set projects and advise students what parameters they have to work in.

It is important to choose the correct academic studies to go alongside your specialsm.

Entry requirements

At least 5 GCSE's at grade A* - C (including maths and English).
