Joinery Level 2 Diploma at Lakes College West Cumbria

Course description

This course is for those who would like to develop their carpentry skills for on site construction. You will increase competence in a range of underpinning carpentry skills as well as explore first and second fix carpentry and roof construction. Maths and English will be at the core of your study programme.

Entry requirements

Relevant Level 1 Qualification and Functional Skills Level 1 in Maths and English, or 4 GCSEs Grade A*-D including English, Maths and Practical Skills Assessment

Financial information

Free to all 16-18 and 19-23 year olds who do not already have a full level 2 qualification e.g 5 GCSE's grade A*-C. Also free to learners who are in receipt of JSA (Job Seekers Allowance) ESA ((Employment Support Allowance, (work related activity)) or Universal Credit (mandated). Where fees are payable you can set up a payment plan that best suits your needsQualification. Future opportunities

Once you have successfully completed the Level 2 course you could progress onto Level 3 Site Carpentry. This course could lead to a job within the carpentry industry.
