Course description

Information and Communication Technology is increasingly used in every area of business. This BTEC course provides you with a high level of skill and understanding in ICT.The BTEC Subsidiary Diploma / Diploma ICT course combines taught theory lessons with practical assignments and project portfolio work. You will be taught new high-level ICT skills and will need to investigate and display knowledge of how ICT is used in the outside world.You are usually given the freedom to design your own projects - enabling you to focus on your individual area of interest. Students who have taken this course have found the project work both challenging and interesting. Projects are assessed in a variety of ways. You may be giving a presentation, writing a report, sending emails or having a debate with your tutor.
