Applied Information and Communication Technology AS (Double Award) - Level 3 at Hereward College

Course content

The Double Award consists of twelve units of work in total:  - The information age   - The digital economy  - The knowledge worker  - System design and installation   - Web development   - Technical support.  Plus a further six A2 units chosen from a range of ICT units

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade A*-C or equivalent Level 2 qualifications. You should have an interest in developing the knowledge and skills you need to be a competent and informed ICT user and practitioner.


Course work and/or exam or controlled tests

Future opportunities

The GCE in Applied ICT qualifies for UCAS points so you could move on to study for a degree or BTEC HND in related subjects such as ICT, computer science, information systems, multi media, software engineering, computer networking, e-business and information management. You could also go on to work based training such as IT User/Practitioner NVQs.
