Course description

What the subject is about: The course is designed to: a) build on the knowledge, understanding and skills specified for GCSE, but also accommodate the needs of students, who have an appropriate level of the language in question but have not studied for GCSE; b) integrate, where appropriate, the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in the development of linguistic competence; c) provide a coherent, satisfying and worthwhile course of study for students who do not wish to progress to further study in the subject.

    •  We are the only secondary school in the Black Country to hold FA Centre status.  Students who attend the Football Academy will combine guided learning hours in the Football Academy alongside their Sixth Form subjects.  There is also the opportunity for students to stay on in Year 14 to follow our Apprenticeship Programme or to take advantage of the links we have with football coaching camps in the USA or our links with the University of Worcester to access higher education.
