Horizons Entry Level 3 / Level 1 at East Kent College

Course description

Perfect if you are looking to gain a qualification and experience a variety of subjects.

Course content

You’ll learn to develop your social skills through drama-based activities and fundraising projects. You will also gain experience in work-related vocational areas such as: Drama, Cookery, Carpentry, Painting and Decorating, Motor Vehicle, Business, Enterprise and Retail.You can look forward to the chance to undertake a work placement with support from a job coach.

Assessment

Assessment will be continuous in all areas throughout the programme. It is an expectation that certain skills learnt at College are transferred into the home and local community.

Financial information

If you are 16-24yrs old at the start of the Study Programme, it will be free. There may be additional payments required for trips, visits and other materials. Eligible students may be able to get help with course related costs such as travel, equipment and childcare.
